Tales of an airsoft addict: K.I.L (Keep it Light) →
airsoftaddict:
I just wish to impart a bit of advice I have been sitting on for a while.
When I first got interested in airsoft two years ago, I would spend every spare dollar I could get together to buy every molle pouch and piece of gear I could think of. In the end, I had 40 pounds of gear on me, before I…
My load out is always light weight, here’s some good reasons for...

C8CQB Update
After a little experimentation, it seems the issue with my AEG is the magwell.
Pushing the bottom of the mag forward enables the rifle to feed, my M16 style Marui mag feeds, but that’s no good as I only have one.
So it seems I will have to get the Dremel out to adjust the mag well slightly, if that doesn’t work then I’ll need a new body, and the rifle will most likely not be...
rodrigeuz asked: I know you run the KWA G17, but do you know of any company that makes a good G18c GBB?

Running my pistol as a primary in CQB
When I’m playing CQB I quite enjoy going pistol only, and it turns out at the Bristol Airsoft Courtrooms you can get away with running a pistol as your primary weapon.
I love running my pistol as it has a good weight to it, and there’s nothing like firing a gas blowback. When I run it as my primary here’s my setup.
I run a KWA G17, with a Shooters Glock 17C metal slide and a...

C8 Almost Complete
I’ve almost finished my C8CQB AEG, and to be honest it’s been a bit of a nightmare!
The rifle is together and looks awesome, I got the fire selector issues sorted, but now it’s struggling to feed! I’ve tried my real caps, mid caps and high cap magazines with no joy.
I’m a little disappointed with the quality of the Guarder medal body as the front left receiver pin...

Dragon Valley Airsoft
I had a fantastic days Airsoft at Dragon Valley today. It was the first time in nearly a year that I have played outdoors, and I was amazed at how all my CQB games helped me with concealed movement into enemy territory. The surprise on peoples faces when they got taken out was brilliant.
Hopefully they’ll be more fantastic games this year.

Need to get my outdoor kit together for Dragon Valley Airsoft next Sunday.
What to run with my M4… 1911 (Marui & SOCOM Gear) or Glock (KWA)? I’d love to say HK45 but they’re not out yet.
Answers on a postcard!

Project gun part 2: Externals
Over the last couple of months I’ve been collecting up all the parts to build my Diemaco C8CQB. I’ve now got most of the external parts and am just needing to find a donor gun to supply the gearbox, motor, stock & misc metal parts & pins.
The first thing I ordered for the project was the Guarder C8 Metal body set, it looks pretty neat. I also ordered a Guarder Vortex flash...

Mag capacities in Airsoft
What’s your opinions on mag capacities in Airsoft?
Personally, I’m more fond of mid cap or real cap. I love real cap because you have to be a lot more careful with your shots and tactical reloads. But, you struggle to play real cap most of the time due to people running high caps and spray and praying. That’s really why I end up running mid caps. Oh, and I can’t stand...

Project gun part 1: Diemaco C8CQB
Over the last few months I’ve been trying to decide on a new AEG for outdoor games. I’ve always been a bit of an M4 fan, my first AEG was a Classic Army M15A4 Carbine. It was a really nice heavy weight gun, but I always struggled with the length when moving through buildings, so I replaced it with a Marui M4 PMC which works brilliantly and has an interesting look. When I was looking...

CQB Load Out
Over the last few years I played around a lot with kit for airsoft. I’ve spent a lot on accessories that I’ve only used a few times, had have gone from carrying lots of gear to a bare minimum.
I’ve playing a lot of CQB over the last 12 months and every couple of game days I’ve made changes to my load out, until I’ve got to where I am now with it, simple, light...

HTML5
Over the last few days I’ve started learning HTML5, on the surface of it there’s just a load more descriptive tags for semantics, along with the rich media stuff.
I can already see plenty of office “discussions” on whether something should have been a section or aside.
My fully custom theme for this blog is penned to be HTML 5 where poss, but I’m not sure how...
Getting ready to move
I always forget how much work (and money) goes into moving.
I’m probably 70% through the packing of all my stuff, have ordered the new furniture for the living room. Roll on the 29th, am looking forward to such a wonderful fresh start.
